Home Zeds Dead & Snails finally release the massive ‘Magnets’

Snails is an artist whose music truly sees no boundaries. After spending years crafting music featuring the grimiest sounds and unrelenting bass imaginable in his small apartment, his aggressive sound found a home on labels like OWSLADim Mak and Monstercat – along with a cult following which truly embraces it. Following an incredible year of live shows and releases, including the most recent remix LP for his first studio album ‘The Shell‘, Snails recently launched his label Slugz Music as a home for his music and others’ that is as outrageous as they want it to be, recently giving this statement regarding his new imprint:

I want to release music that really inspires me and is just as weird as me.

While a love song isn’t necessarily what you’d expect from the inventor ‘vomitstep’, that’s exactly what Snails has given us through his newest release. ‘Magnets’ is an important track produced in collaboration with heavyweights such as Zeds Dead and live electronic duo Akylla. The track takes the listener on a rollercoaster ride through a passionate relationship, complete with dramatic vocals, stabbing percussion and goosebump-inducing bass. To sum up the track, Snails says:

“Magnets’ is all about putting together beautiful melodies and vocals with intense basslines to create a powerful love song. The mix of all our styles complimented each other exactly how we wanted and so happy how the song came out.”

A romantic ballad for the modern bass head, “Magnets” is guaranteed to create some serious flames on the dancefloor this fall. It’s out now as a co-release between Snails’ imprint Slugz Music and Zeds Dead’s Deadbeats. Snails also announced the dates for his new ‘The Shell 2.0’ tour, which will see him perform all over North America this fall and winter.
