Tiësto – Grapevine
In a follow up to his most recent solo single ‘WOW,’ Tiësto has returned with yet another thumping solo tune, ‘Grapevine.‘ As you can probably guess, the tune samples the late icon Marvin Gaye’s hit, ‘I Heard It Through the Grapevine,‘ while adding that classic Club Life flair Tiësto is known for. The tune which originally saw it’s first test run at the 20th anniversary of Ultra Miami this past year, set the crowd alight and with the originals rich history, certainly deserves the well-worked makeover Tiësto gives the song.

Creating an almost ominous bass-ridden ambiance, the dutchman’s choice of emphatic synths and thumping percussive elements, give the song a certain ring that hints it will run rampant throughout the club scene. Looking forward to the close of 2018, hopefully, we get some more high-profile solo singles from Tiësto to close out the year – and with this being only his second single release of the year, it’s a strong possibility. It’s simply wonderful to see the Dutch icon getting back in touch with his solo productions, not that his collaborations haven’t been spectacular – however, it’s seemed like forever since he’s put out a string of real hearty solo projects.
