Did you know that one of the most successful DJ and producer of Electronic Dance Music played in a Metal band in his youth? Yes, Anton Zaslavski, better known as Zedd, was a Metalhead when he was younger. Luckily for all EDM enthusiasts, the German with Russian ancestors changed his mind just in time. Zedd demonstrated his extraordinary talent for music production on endless occasions throughout his career. Tracks such as ‘I Want You To Know’ with Selena Gomez or his latest remix of Shawn Mendes’ track ‘Lost In Japan’  are viral hits worldwide on booth the dancefloor as well as in radio stations. Now, Zedd’s first studio album ‘Clarity’ turned 6 years old!

The most known and successful song of ‘Clarity’ has the suiting name ‘Clarity’ and features the vocals of singer Foxes. With over 200 million streams on Spotify, it is also one of Zedd’s most successful tracks to date. Another well-known track of the album is ‘Spectrum’ together with Matthew Koma, one of the best and most known EDM singers out there. The front singer of One RepublicRyan Tedder is also featured on ‘Clarity’, namely with the track ‘Lost At Sea’. That Ryan Tedder is a perfect voice for EDM tracks was already noticeable one year before: ‘Calling’ togehter with Swedish powerhouses Alesso and Ingrosso is one of the best progressive house tracks to date. The huge success of ‘Clarity’ only boosted Zedd to a higher dimension: After his first album reached the 38th position in the US charts, the follow-up ‘True Colors’ reached a stunning 4th place for 20 weeks.
