Home Uncategorized Axtone Records says goodbye to “Axtone Presents” show with a killer mix

One of the most prestigious record labels in the whole scene, Axtone Records has established itself as one of the best sources for good quality progressive house music. One of the mainstays of the label was  their eclectic “Presents” mixes that have rocked hard over the years. Featuring artists from every corner of the dance music spectrum, the mix show has brought in musicians everywhere from head honcho Axwell, to Bob Sinclair and Benny Benassi. Separate from the Smörgåsbord mixes, Axtone Presents reaches as far back as 2014. Let’s take a look at what news we have at the moment.

A couple days ago, the label posted on Facebook “Axtone Presents the best of mix. We’re saying goodbye to Axtone presents and hello to something new. Thanks to all of the artists that mixed along the way. Stay tuned“. Alluding to future projects, it would seem that something new is brewing. There have been some truly spectacular mixes over the years, mixes from the likes of Kryder, Dirty South, Magnificence, and D.O.D. With new names and old, these particular mixes seemed to be the premiere spot to find out what’s hot and trendy over at Axtone. Whereas the Smörgåsbord mixes seemed to be more focused on unique artists, reliving live sets, and have more of a creative edge, the “Presents” mixes come from their top tier artists. Whether it’s premiering new music, edits, or simply delivering magic ensembles of music to the masses, these mixes featured raw talent.

In this special mix, we relive some of the most pristine pieces of Axtone sorcery to have come about in the past few years. Kicking off with UK powerhouse duo Camelphat, we are treated to some smooth vibes before Axwell and NEW_ID’s mystic remode of “Make Your Mind Up” takes hold. Blasting through more high energy gems, D.O.D delivers his mega hit “Sixes” as the mood is set for the rest of the mix. Tom Staar’s blissful track “Come Together” rings out and we start to get those old school feels. Closing out with Axtone classics, you really have to dive into this mix yourself to hear what it’s all about!
