Having first unveiled the track during his set alongside Sebastian Ingrosso at Amsterdam Music Festival in October, Swedish maestro Axwell has now officially revealed his new single, ‘Nobody Else.’ Premiering the anthem on Annie Mac‘s BBC Radio 1 show on Friday night, the Axtone label boss also spoke with the popular tastemaker, explaining what inspired this retro-sounding house sound on the production.

With both noting that the track held tones of Axwell classic ‘I Found U’, Ax commented that he had heard Annie playing the old-skool classic in her sets and on the radio this summer, which made him realise that this type of music was still hugely popular in 2018. A barnstorming banger which fuses a delicious bassline with a crisp breakdown, ‘Nobody Else’ is Axwell’s first solo release in almost 3 years, following the success of ‘Barricade and sounds similar to many of his biggest early anthems, like ‘Nothing But Love’.

You can check out the track below, as well as Axwell’s interview with Annie, in which he discusses Swedish House Mafia‘s plans for 2019:
