The news many dance fans have been waiting for has finally been rubber stamped by the man himself. Axwell spoke to BBC Radio 1‘s Annie Mac on Friday night, discussing his new single ‘Nobody Else‘ in the interview, which was premiered on Annie’s show. And naturally, conversation soon turned to the subject of the 2019 Swedish House Mafia reunion.

With recent posters hinting at at a return to Creamfields for the Swedish trio next year, various possible destinations have also been floating around the internet for their impending UK show, with both Anfield and Wembley Stadium both discussed as potential venues. But now, the Axtone label has all but confirmed the trio’s return to British shores. The last time the supergroup played in England was in July 2012, when they sold-out the 60,000 attendance MK Bowlfilming the video for ‘Don’t You Worry Child‘ at the same venue.

Asked by Annie if Swedish House Mafia would be playing in the soon-to-be-Brexited country in 2019, Ax replied:

“Yes! We have a huge ongoing relationship with the UK and the UK has always been our dance music mecca so it would be stupid to leave the UK out now!”
