Martin Garrix closes down EDC Orlando 2018 with a bang

Home Uncategorized Martin Garrix closes down EDC Orlando 2018 with a bang

Last weekend, the almighty Electric Daisy Carnival took place once again. Even though it was not the “signature” edition in Las Vegas, EDC went down in another sunny city: Orlando, Florida. As always, the line up for EDC Orlando 2018 was packed with top-tier DJs from all kinds of genres including bass-head KAYZO, future house god Tchami and Swedish superstar Alesso. The current #1 DJ in the world, Martin Garrix, was also part of the show and delivered a stunning set on EDC’s mainstage called kineticFIELD!

The 22-year old Dutchman played a remarkable set: Every one of the 21 songs played by Martin Garrix was either his own productions or a track released on his own label STMPD RCRDS. During this years Amsterdam Dance Event, Martin Garrix released his BYLAW EP and, of course, he played some tracks of the EP during his closing set at EDC Orlando. This included the long-awaited track ‘Waiting For Tomorrow’ together with Linkin Park member Mike Shinoda. Furthermore, the Dutch DJ and producer played his progressive tune ‘Access’. One of the biggest hits of last year was Martin Garrix collab together with his good friends Brooks and David Guetta called ‘Like I Do’, and was of course also part of his set.

Garrix’ latest track, Dreamer’ together with Mike Yung was also part of the set, which is pretty interesting, given the fact that the track has a more mellow vibe, that normally suits a chill mode better than a festival set. However, it was used as the last song, so it definitely was a suitable closing for EDC. Some other bangers were also part of the set, including DYRO’s bass house stunner ‘Bring It Down’, Magnificence’s ‘Closer’ and  TV Noise’s ‘Weird’.

Unfortunately, the official video of Martin Garrix’ closing set has not been released yet, but you can already check out some of the action via a fan video below!
