Sylver all-time dance classic ‘Turn The Tide’ turns 18 years old today

Home Uncategorized Sylver all-time dance classic ‘Turn The Tide’ turns 18 years old today

Back in 2000, electronic music was still a very niche and underground genre, and with trance ruling supreme thanks to acts like Paul van Dyk, Paul Oakenfold, and many more, one of the most important tracks in the early days of the boom we are now experiencing came from Sylver, with their iconic hit ‘Turn The Tide.’

Packed with an emotive, haunting vocal, ‘Turn The Tide’ was blessed with a beefy bassline which became a true Ibiza classic around the turn of the century. Now celebrating 18 years since release, the track still feels as huge as ever, thanks to the euphoric chord patterns and brilliantly progressive build. A Belgian vocal trance and euro-pop group, which originally consisted of lead vocalist Silvy De Bie and keyboardist/songwriter Wout Van Dessel, Sylver were active between 2000 until 2014, when De Bie decided to focus on her solo career.

The duo did return in 2016 however, and you can relive this Sylver classic in full below:
