The Chainsmokers preform on NFL’s Monday Night Football

Monday, November 19th saw the NFL’s Kansas City Chiefs pit against the Los Angeles Rams for a thrilling 54-51 LA win, however it was what transpired at the halftime show that grabbed the attention of fans – especially those of dance music. Similar to that of The Chainsmokers and Halsey when the trio debuted their global hit, ‘Closer,‘ this time, The Chainsmokers captivated the NFL crowd with their newest collaborator and country-pop star Kelsea Ballerini. The new power trio went on to play their latest smash ‘This Feeling‘ at halftime, taking the stadium by storm.

With their new refined style, The Chainsmokers are much more than DJ-sets, the dynamic duo are just as dynamic off the decks as performers as well, and this has come in time with the slow shift of their overall branding as they’ve successfully slid their way over more toward the commercial/pop realm. Regardless, the duo certainly possesses that special something to eventually steal a spot as the main performers for a future Super Bowl halftime show down the years, and with the path they’ve blazed over the past few years, it wouldn’t come to much of a surprise to fans and spectators if they were to receive the coveted offer to perform.
