Back in 2012, Skrillex and Boys Noize took the dance music scene by storm when they started their collaborative side project; Dog Blood. The duo’s first EP ‘Next Order/Middle Finger’ skyrocketed to the top of the techno charts and the immediate success of the project led to a Dog Blood performance at Ultra Music Festival in 2013. Since then, the duo has released one more EP and a remix album, but Skrillex and Boys Noize each mainly pursued their busy individual careers.

Dog Blood performances remained a rare and huge surprise to fans of the duo, with HARD Summer Music Festival in California back in 2017 as one of the highlights. Since then, however, the pair has been teasing a couple of Instagram stories of them in the studio together, supposedly working on new music. The last time was exactly one month ago, sparking the rumours of a Dog Blood comeback even further.

The wait for eager fans of the duo is finally over now, as New Orleans’ Buku Festival has announced that Dog Blood will perform on the festival’s Saturday – March 23rd, 2019. Without a doubt, they will be dropping some new music that they’ve been working on in their combined studio sessions over the past year. Other headliners of the dance, pop and hip-hop festival include the likes of Fisher, Claude VonStroke, The Black Madonna and RL Grime.

Check out the full line-up of Buku Festival, which will mark the return of Dog Blood for the first since in over a year, down below.
