Legendary Dutch duo Showtek have proven over the years they can really do it all. Moving from their memorable hardstyle productions to pioneers of the ever popular big room house movement which has taken dancefloors and festivals all around the world by storm over the past few years. Over their long career and eventful career, the duo has accumulated an impressive catalogue of successful releases, such as ‘Booyah’, their recent collaboration with David Guetta Your Love‘ and their classic Hardwell collaboration ‘How We Do‘, which turned six years old just last month.

Also turning six years old today is probably their biggest track ever. ‘Cannonball’ with Justin Prime released on Tiësto‘s label Musical Freedom in late 2012 and took the world by storm. Never before had we heard such a powerful combination of big drums and synths packing tremendous amounts of energy. These were accompanied by a truly anthemic melody and the infamous vocal shout before the drop “show us what you’ve got when the motherf***ing beat drops” which we have heard time and time again.

Today, Showtek continue to release a variety of great music whilst keeping up with a busy tour schedule around the globe. They have also since launched their own label Skink Records under Spinnin’ Records where they release impressive music from their friends and upcoming talents in the industry. Their latest release ‘Down Easy’ comes in a form of a collaboration with MOTi, Wyclef Jean and Starley, where they showcase all their talent in the two different versions, the original being a moombahton inspired record and the club edit delivering an astonishing amount of power worthy of all festival mainstages. The track has also been remixed by the likes of Henry Fong and Zonderling who were able to give the tune a fresh and unique sound.
