Home Uncategorized Transmission Festival announces return to Australia in 2019

Recognised as one of the world’s premier trance events, Transmission Festival is held annually in the Czech Republic. This year’s edition, ‘The Awakening’, sold out the O2 Arena in Prague, an indoor venue with a capacity of 18 000. Headliners included trance legends Vini Vici, Markus Shulz, Paul van Dyk and Above & Beyond.

Since 2014 the festival has hosted a number of international editions most recently in China, Germany and Thailand. In February 2019 the festival will land in Jakarta, Indonesia for the first time. Last month festival organisers announced that an Australian edition could be expected on Transmission’s 18/19 world tour.

Transmission Australia is set to take over the Sydney Showgrounds on March 16th 2019. Trance promoter Symbiotic will bring the spectacular production synonymous with the festival’s brand down under. While no lineup has been released yet, previous headliners for the Australian editions include Aly & Fila, Ferry Corsten, Markus Shulz and Vini Vici. Organisers shared a video of Aly & Fila playing ‘Take Me Away (Darren Porter Rework)’ at Transmission Australia 2017, perhaps hinting at a return to Australia 2019 for the Egyptian duo.
