Week on week, We Rave You collates the finest new releases in the ‘Weekly Selections‘ Spotify playlist, keeing you right up to date with all things electronic music. As the winter months roll in, the producers of the world have the tough task of keeping listeners warm with fresh tracks, funky beats, and infectious vocals. With that in mind, this week’s new releases is more than you could possibly expect, and new music from some of electronic dance music’s true heavyweights has set the bar much higher for following weeks until the turn of the year.

Martin Garrix‘s collaboration with Mike Yung looks to live on longer through a series of remixes. Two days ago the former artist announced that three producers had reimagined the November single. Today, his fellow Dutchman Nicky Romero has shared the first official remix of ‘Dreamer‘. Romero’s version bears clear-cut hallmarks of his signature sound. Big synth melodies build up to a euphoric drop engineered to send thousands-deep festival crowds into motion.

Don Diablo remade Nate Dogg’s original track by the same title originally released in 2001. Nearly two decades later, his sound drives this production into a nostalgic space that’s built for the now. Sam Feldt’s latest spectacular single ‘Heaven (Don’t Have A Name)‘ has been inescapable of late. Featuring Oscar-nominated actor and singer Jeremy Renner on vocals, it’s a beautiful track that now gets two excellent new remixes from Dastic and SLVR. Dastic’s bright and breezy house interpretation combines powerful beats with warm bass, bold chords and sweet melody that really compliments the glorious vocal. With subtle electro house undertones giving it some extra energy, it’s a glorious rework. SLVR’s mix starts with tense, brooding, dark tones before dropping us into a twisted groove full of pitched down vocal cuts, low-slung bass and gnarly textures. It makes for a perfect contrast to Dastic’s version, providing dark to his light.

Finally it’s time: Laidback Luke and Jewelz & Sparks release their long-awaited single ‘We Are One‘. For the Dutch veteran, this publication represents one of the best in his Vita of recent years. Pearl Andersson contributes the vocals to this work. With her powerful voice she gives the message of the track the necessary meaning. Overall, ‘We Are One’ can be classified in the clubbing part of the twisted-house genre. The shrill synths in the drop make the wonderful contrast to the powerful piano breaks, which makes this song so special.
