Blasterjaxx announce new album ‘Perspective’
Dutch DJ and producer duo Blasterjaxx have been delivering some of the biggest and most energetic EDM tracks consistently for many years. 2018 was slightly different for them as they unleashed fewer singles then what we have been used to, though they still manages to deliver some memorable club weapons such as ‘Bigroom Never Dies‘ with Hardwell, ‘Switch’ with Bassjackers and ‘RIO’. Blasterjaxx have also been growing their label Maxximize Records tremendously by releasing some outstanding tracks and with the help of their weekly radio show Maxximize On Air, where they give room for upcoming producers to showcase their talent. Blasterjaxx made headlines towards the of the year when they invited the media on a boat ride around Amsterdam at ADE to preview their upcoming album.
Though we had not heard about their album since Blasterjaxx finally announced the album artwork via an Instagram post, where they give a brief explanation of the story behind the album and mention that it will release publicly in the second quarter of this year.
It all started two years ago while doing a studio session in a completely different setting – we rented a bungalow. It was just a guitar, small studio setup, singer and a songwriter. We had no immediate musical direction where we wanted to go. We wanted to make music that came from our hearts and was out of our box – enjoyable for the wide audience instead of just ravers.
The album promises to showcase a new side to the duo, featuring varied and diverse productions. One of the stand out tracks is no doubt their collaboration with Example, which is set to release as a single before the album release. Other than that, we can expect an album full of memorable, hard-hitting melodies, as well as some more experimental sounds to showcase the immense talent the two producers have.
