Clean Bandit

Clean Bandit classic ‘Rather Be’ turns 5 years old

After making headlines in 2013 with their uniquely refreshing ‘Mozart’s House‘, Clean Bandit have since gone on to global domination, scoring 4 UK number #1 singles, and working with various acts including Demi Lovato, Zara Larsson, Sean Paul, and Anne-Marie. But their breakthrough hit was undoubtedly ‘Rather Be‘, a melodic radio favourite which was played everywhere throughout 2014.

Released on this day exactly 5 years ago, ‘Rather Be’ featured the vocals of red-head songstress Jess Glynne, with The Magician later remixing the track into an Ibiza-ready floorfiller. The track went 5 x Platinum and established the diverse group as a force to be reckoned with for years to come. With Clean Bandit later teaming up with Jess once more on ‘Real Love’, their debut album ‘New Eyes’ was the subject of widespread acclaim worldwide.
