Diplo teases Major Lazer and J Balvin collaboration in 2019
With 2019 just around the corner, legendary DJ and producer Diplo just gave fans all around the world a very good reason to be excited for the new year. His latest post on Instagram shows him posing together with Walshy Fire and international sensation J Balvin, with the caption reading:
We got something very big planned for 2019
Diplo’s project with Walshy Fire and Jillionaire, Major Lazer, is one of the biggest in the scene, the combined talents of these artists has built up an incredible catalogue of successful releases such as ‘Lean On’, ‘Light It Up’, ‘Cold Water’ and countless others. Earlier this year, Diplo shook everyone when he announced that the Major Lazer project was coming to an end. Thankfully less than a month later he made a statement giving fans hope for the continuation of Major Lazer after an emotional performance in Kenya. Hope for more Major Lazer music will now be stronger than ever after this post, which although does not confirm Major Lazer and J Balvin will release music in 2019, does strongly suggest that the Major Lazer project will live on in 2019.
Diplo had yet another sensational year in 2018. Along with Labrinth & Sia Diplo formed super trio LSD, releasing breakout tunes ‘Thunderclouds‘ and ‘Genius.‘ On top of the artist’s involvement with LSD, Diplo also took his 4th known side project with Mark Ronson, Silk City, sky-high by releasing yet another radio hit, ‘Electricity‘ with Dua Lipa. He recently celebrated 2018 by releasing a spectacular year mix in his latest episode of Diplo & Friends.
