Dutch Bass House pioneer Dyro is celebrating the 5th anniversary of his smash-hit single, ‘Black Smoke’. Dyro, whose real name is Jordy van Egmond, was a Revealed Recordings mainstay earlier in his career. He earned his stripes and put his name on the map with tracks such as ‘Daftastic’, ‘Never Say Goodbye’ with Hardwell and ‘Go Down.

One of Dyro’s most successful tracks on Beatport to-date, ‘Black Smoke’s gritty lead synths and aggressive basslines helped the track peak at #5 on the overall chart in 2014, before other tracks such as ‘Radical’ with Dannic and ‘X’ with Bassjackers also reached the top 10 in what was a successful 2014 for Dyro. The string of hot hits followed his ‘Highest New Entry’ award in the 2013 DJ Mag Top 100 poll, where he notched up the #30 spot in his debut year.

Fast-forward to the present, and Dyro’s still going strong. His collaboration ‘Latency’ with fellow Dutchman, Martin Garrix reached the #2 spot on the Beatport Electro House chart last year, while he also enjoyed an additional release on Garrix’s imprint, STMPD RCRDS. Dyro is yet to announce tour dates for 2019.
