Gesaffelstein & The Weeknd – Lost In The Fire

Home hot since 82 Gesaffelstein & The Weeknd – Lost In The Fire

Some collaborations just never disappoint. Period. This surely holds up anytime Gesaffelstein and The Weeknd join forces for a new release and it’s certainly true on their latest track ‘Lost In The Fire’. The pair have worked together successfully on several occasions, two of them being last year when The Weeknd dropped his brilliant EP ‘My Dear Melancholy’. The new collaboration on ‘Lost In The Fire’ gives us a nice sneak preview as to what Gesaffelstein‘s forthcoming album ‘Hyperion’ has in store for us.

At first listen, ‘Lost In The Fire’ surely will remind listeners of The Weeknd’s 2016 smash hit with Daft Punk ‘Starboy’, but that isn’t a bad thing by all means. The new track has got a similar pleasant rhythm and pace, and The Weeknd’s smooth vocals are spot-on, as always. The somewhat deep and dark bassline in ‘Lost In The Fire’ marks Gesaffelstein’s signature sound and totally fits the Canadian’s amazing vocals.

The new collaboration has the words ‘hit potential’ written all over it and it comes with a pretty cool video, which appeared on YouTube only yesterday, already hitting more than 1 million views in just 24 hours. In the video, Gesaffelstein wears a gloomy metallic costume while sitting back in a lazy chair, while The Weeknd does all the dancing and moving, all of it in a pitch-dark room that is only lit by fire about halfway through.

Sit back, relax, and enjoy Gesaffelstein & The Weeknd’s music video of ‘Lost In The Fire’ down below via YouTube.
