Although 2018 has been yet another sensational year for superstar DJ and producer Hardwell, fans all over the world were sad to see him announce a break from performing live for the foreseeable future. The hope is that we might see him make surprise guest appearances at festival shows later this year. However, the break from touring does mean the Dutchman will have more time to work in the studio and add to his already incredible catalogue of releases.
He starts off 2019 very strong releasing the highly anticipated follow up to his 2013 hit ‘Apollo‘, which propelled him to the top of the dance music industry. ‘Being Alive’ definitely brings back the melodic elements and massive drums which made ‘Apollo’ such a memorable and timeless tune. Hardwell does, however, build on it including some modern and powerful sounds which make this the perfect track for clubs and festivals. The short, stuttering pluck gradually makes its way into a beautiful yet massive melodic section, ramping up the intensity towards the build and making space for an anthemic big room lead. JGUAR also makes a debut on Hardwell’s label Revealed Recordings with an impressive vocal performance which accompanies the track perfectly.
The track was premiered by Hardwell himself at Tomorrowland 2018, and fans have been anticipating this release ever since. With this release, Hardwell makes an impressive start to the year with the hope that he will continue to release more music now he has more time to focus on production.
