NickyB – Remedy

As a performer who has honed his skills and proven adept behind the decks for a little over 7 years, the natural progression for Helsinki based DJ Nicolas Björk was to set his hands onto the production desk. Having been infected by the music of the Aviciis and the Hardwells some years ago, he became a professional DJ at major night clubs locally, after pipping others and proving his mettle at a competition. Known as NickyB, the Finnish DJ picked up production a year ago and has already released his first single. With the track titled ‘Remedy’, he looks to announce himself to the scene in the most thumping manner possible.

Showcasing a peculiar elan of his own, the production behind his debut single is a thrilling venture – showcasing, on behalf of NickyB, an adrenal penchant for self-assurance. Crafting within the confines of the Big Room genre, ‘Remedy’ kicks off with great aplomb. While the track’s anthemic ‘drop’ is a force to be reckoned with, what impresses more is the keenly detailed break, as it infuses together piano-work and a laid-back beat-work, all of which swirls into a thoroughly exciting whistled out build-up. A track created with great attention to detail, there could be no better way for NickyB to break into the industry than by letting the rousing ‘Remedy’ do the talking.
