Tiësto classic ‘Adagio For Strings’ turns 14 years old

Home Uncategorized Tiësto classic ‘Adagio For Strings’ turns 14 years old

Widely regarded by many as the Godfather of dance music, Dutch kingpin Tiësto has amassed a catalogue of huge hits during his double-decade career, from his early trance hits such as ‘Silence’ to more recent stompers, such as Secrets’ and the platinum selling pop-crossover, ‘Jackie Chan.’

But on this day 14 years ago, Tiësto created arguably his finest work to date, spinning his own unique take on ‘Adagio For Strings’, blessing the production with his trance-led build up and clattering breakdown. A truly euphoric and timeless anthem that has cemented a place amongst the very finest dance tracks ever made, it’s tough to believe that a full 14 years have now passed since Tijs dropped this one for the first time in January 2005.

You can relive the full classic below with this special rendition which was performed at Sensation in 2015, with a full choir illuminating the Amsterdam-based Arena with their blissful tones. Happy Birthday Adagio For Strings!
