Galardo & Secret Sam – Mama (feat. Micky Parsons)

It seems that on the second month of the year, we’ve already found one of the freshest talents destined to become one of the leaders of the scene. Dutch DJ and producer Galardo has released his first track of the year ‘Mama‘ together with fellow British producer Secret Sam and featuring vocals from Micky Parsons.

Galardo started his musical career years ago when he worked as a bartender. He saw the DJs playing and wanted to do it himself so he organized his own parties and performed during them. After some years of DJing, he took a step back and focused on producing and built a home studio. He discovered his passion and founded his very own company called cleandistortion.com, a platform destined to help upcoming artists with mixing and mastering. In the present day, he has already released music for important labels like Tiger Records and Spinnin’ Records.

‘Mama’ is a catchy pop tune that has everything a listener could want in a song. The beautiful vocals from Micky perfectly fit with the rhythm of the song based on various hi-hats and ride cymbals that mark the tempo of the song, filtered synths and bass. When the chorus kick in, the snares along with an exciting uplifter take the lead of the track that clash into an amazing and melodic drop accompanied by a downlifter that gives a lot of movement to the song. By the end, on the last drop, there’s an added tropical house lead that sounds very familiar and reminds us of the Galantis sound. All in all, a very complete recording.
