Khalid – Talk (featuring production from Disclosure)

After tracks like ‘Ocean‘ with Martin Garrix and ‘Silence‘ with Marshmello received so much attention from both chart listeners and electronic music fans worldwide, it was only a matter of time before Khalid was back working with another incredible artist from the electronic side of the spectrum. The 20 year old singer born in Georgia, USA has turned his eyes and ears to someone from over the waters, this time working alongside the UK duo of Howard and Guy Lawrence, more widely known as Disclosure. With production work from the Surrey-born brothers on Khalid’s new track ‘Talk‘, you always knew it was going to be a quality track, and it’s exactly that.

The track combines slick synths with a sharp drums that blend to make a floaty vibe with plenty of funky feelings. Khalid – real name Khalid Donnel Robinson – delicately provides the perfect vocals on this one, with the track radiating R&B sounds right through. Though this takes a different approach to Khalid’s past collaborations with electronic artists, and a different direction for Disclosure too, the ability and skill shines through from both artists, and ‘Talk‘ is bound to receive plenty of support via the charts over the following weeks and months.
