TJYE – Thinkin ‘Bout Her (Remix)

While there is no dearth of multi-instrumentalists in today’s dance music scene, only a few manage to shine through on the basis of their creativity and craft. And when it comes to the latter, there are even fewer who stand out like British producer TJYE. The gifted London-born singer and songwriter, who is equally adept when sat behind the piano or playing the guitar, has earned his credentials by honing his skills under some of the biggest song-writers of our times. Influenced by the likes of The Weeknd and Ed Sheeran, TJYE released the first of his enthusing pop singles in 2018 – with tracks such as ‘Sirens Calling‘ and ‘Novocaine‘ marking out his talents for all to see. Reveling in this flow, he began 2019 with the release of a mature single titled ‘Thinkin ‘Bout Her’, accompanied by a sumptuous remix of the same.

While the single itself is a highly appreciable production, the remix is rendition that allows him to express himself quite differently. Employing the vocals from the original – which featured in Spotify’s ‘Chilled Pop Hits’ playlist not long ago, TJYE’s remix kicks off in serenading fashion, with distant sounding guitar work and steady beat-work laying the foundation for the warm lyrics. What sets the remix apart from the original is the club-oriented beats that accompany the chorus. With expectations of performing live weighing heavy and close, this remix by TJYE comes just in time and provides him with one solid tune to impress those in attendance. Released on Zahra Music, this remix by TJYE is a well-crafted re-imagination that, while arguing the case for his talent, bodes well for a successful career in the industry.
