Yesterday morning Tomorrowland hosted an intimate gathering in De Schorre, Belgium. The purpose of the event was to launch One World Radio, the festival’s new radio broadcast. Standing in the centre of the newly expanded main stage area with the Tomorrowland hot air balloon as a backdrop, Steve Aoki played a fifteen-minute set in honour of 15 years of Tomorrowland. The gathering was streamed on Facebook with viewers from across the world tuning in.
Joining Steve at the hallowed grounds were the newly appointed One World Radio hosts; Adam K, Camille Pollie and Valerie Wynants. Camille will host the weekday morning show ‘Daybreak Sessions’, which shares the same name as the iconic kick off sets on the Tomorrowland main stage. Valerie, a Tomorrowland performer and dancer, will host the weekend edition of ‘Daybreak Sessions’. Heavybeats Radio presenter Adam K will host ‘Unite Forever’, the afternoon broadcast which promises live festival sets and special guests. On Friday afternoons, Armin van Buuren will take a break from his own A State Of Trance show to welcome in the weekend. Australian sisters, Nervo will host the people’s choice top 30 chart show each week.
One World Radio can be listened to on the website and through the official Tomorrowland app. Watch the magical opening ceremony in the video below.
