Alesso Mixtape – Progresso Volume 1

Despite only being 27 years old, Alesso has already established himself as one of the most influential and well-respected artists in the electronic dance music scene. Over the years, he has delivered some of the most iconic pieces of music, always characterised by his signature sound end melodic elements. His latest release comes in the form of a highly anticipated 3 track mixtape titled ‘Progresso Volume 1’.

The 3 songs, ‘PROGRESSO’, ‘CONFESSION’ and ‘TIME’ bring a fresh sound, labelled as ‘future progressive’ by Alesso himself. The new style is very exciting, as it combines Alesso’s iconic melodic elements with new and fresh sounds. Talking about the new mixtape, Alesso said:

“This project, for me, is about going back to my roots and making house records. I wanted to represent the culture of dance music through this mixtape. Each song is powerful and unique. It’s about telling a story of the past and the future of the genre through the music.”

With this new mixtape, it appears that Alesso is starting a new exciting chapter in his career. Alesso recently made headlines after an incredible performance in front of 250,000 people at Venezuela Aid Live show, where he was able to combine his greatest and most popular releases like ‘Heroes’ and ‘Under Control’ with his new ‘future progressive’ style. After the performance, Alesso expressed his gratitude with a heartfelt Instagram post.
