With just nine days to go until Ultra Music Festival in Miami kicks off, there are plenty of reasons to get excited already. With a brand new location waiting to be inaugurated, and the release of a phenomenal line-up, the annual festival is gearing up towards its 21st edition, with Canadian DJ/producer deadmau5 as one of the many headliners this year. The Mau5 aka Joel Zimmerman actually has two sets planned during UMF Miami, both a live stage debut of his massive Cube 3.0 and a headline set from his techno alter ego TESTPILOT. In an attempt to fuel the expectations for his worldwide Cube 3.0 debut even further, deadmau5 took to Instagram this week, dropping a short clip of the iconic new LED Mau5head, which he will bring back to the stage as well during his Ultra performance.

Throughout the years, Zimmerman has constantly been working with the latest LED technology when it comes to the design and functionality of both the cube and his mouse helmet, which he wears on stage during his visually stunning and technologically advanced performances. Since we first saw the LED helmet during deadmau5’s 2010 Coachella performance, it has undergone numerous updates and redesigns, so we’re anxious to experience the latest elements that were added by Zimmerman and his team. Music wise, fans will be on their toes as well at Ultra Miami, as the Mau5 has been teasing some new IDs lately, tracks which are speculated to be titled ‘Saturn’ and ‘Coasted’.

Check out deadmau5’s Instagram post with a sneak preview of the new Mau5head and be sure to also have a look at the Mau5’s Cube 3.0 website right here.
