In a shock announcement, Swedish Progressive house maestro Eric Prydz has cancelled his performance at Ultra Miami this year. Dealing with an “acute medical condition”, Prydz will not be in Miami for Miami Music Week 2019. While rumours surrounding his cancellation had been circling in days prior, the 42-year-old recently took to Twitter to confirm fans’ worst fears.

“I am really sorry but due to an acute medical condition I am unable to travel or perform in Miami this week. I am truly gutted to miss any shows but especially Miami as this is one of my favourite times of the year.”

Unfortunate as it is, this isn’t the first time Eric Prydz has had to cancel a show. Back in mid-2017, an illness forced him to cancel his performance at ElectroBech Music Festival in France. Earlier in that very same year, another show in New York was cancelled. Albeit, the cause of cancellation was due to local authorities forcing the event’s closure, however, it proved to be devastating for fans, nonetheless.

While no information has been issued regarding a replacement for Prydz’s timeslot at Ultra Miami as of yet, be sure to stay connected and find out the latest updates here.
