Otto Knows & Klahr – Something For Nothing

The return of Otto Knows was one of high anticipation, great expectation, and the deep desire for a throwback to the earlier days of Otto. However, the ‘Million Voices‘ era seems to have passed, as Otto Jettman (Knows) has gone down the more commercial route with his return track ‘One In A Million‘. Now, the follow up track has dropped in collaboration with Axtone favourite Klahr, as the duo take a deep funky vibe with ‘Something For Nothing‘.

Aged 29, the future is long and prosperous for Otto Knows. His breakthrough around 2010-2013 put his sound on the map, and tracks like his ‘Lies‘ and ‘Starlight‘ remixes established him as one of the finest progressive house producers there is. Following his recent extended break – after the death of good friend and fellow producer Avicii – Otto returned with brand new music but in a completely new style. ‘Something For Nothing‘ takes a deeper, more sunset vibe that can set the scene of Ocean Drive, Miami through its funk tones. Soothing pads, the sweetest kick drum you’ve ever heard, and some quality vocals intertwine the sounds of Otto with that of melodic genius Klahr, whose position as an Axtone regular is highly commended and well deserved, on the back of his phenomenal releases.
