Marshmello, Zedd and The Chainsmokers pick up iHeartRadio awards plus more
The sixth annual iHeartRadio Awards returned Thursday [14 March] last week and, as expected, some of the biggest electronic dance music stars found their names listed as nominees for a host of music awards that were up for grabs on the night. With starstudded line-ups across the board, the final pickings looked almost to tense to call with artists like Zedd, Marshmello, and music legend Calvin Harris up against Drake, Post Malone, Maroon 5 and more.
But even the outstanding talent could not keep both Zedd and Marshmello from picking up two awards each and The Chainsmokers earning themselves and iHeartRadio award as well.
Marshmello, who as of late is consistently delivering the goods, beat strong competition from the likes of Calvin Harris, The Chainsmokers, Zedd, and Kygo to win Dance Artist of the Year. The masked party-popping DJ also took the award for Best New Pop Artist. Elsewhere, influential music producer Zedd won Song of the Year with his smash-hit track ‘The Middle‘ with Maren Morris and Grey which also went and took home Dance Song of the Year.
Electronics mammoth duo The Chainsmokers were recognised for their impeccable album Sick Boy which won Dance Album of the Year. Take a look at the nominees and winner below. To see the full list of winners on the night, head over to iHeartRadio here.
