Current number 1 DJ in the world, Martin Garrix, is not going to relax on his status. Despite the fact that he has been crowned number 1 for the last 3 years in a row, the Dutchman continues to excel himself year after year. His latest release ‘No Sleep’ saw him collaborating with singer Bonn again, the same man who was responsible for Martin Garrix’ monumental hit ‘High On Life’ last year. Luckily, the 22-year old isn’t going to stop producing hit after hit anytime soon.
The young DJ and producer recently was part of the very first edition of Ultra Music Festival Australia. After playing a phenomenal set, he also sat down with the media for an interview, to discuss some new music and the person that he would love to collaborate with one day. But first things first, Garrix started off with some great news:
There’s a lot of new music coming.
Even though we don’t exactly know what type of music he is making and when it’ll come out, the statement of Garrix sound really promising:
I’ve been in the studio like a maniac for the last — seven years — no, the last couple of months. I’m sitting on a pile of unreleased music. Now, it’s finding the right features on it.
Seems like we can look forward to a lot of new Garrix music in the future. And who knows, maybe someday he even produces a song with his dream collaborator, who is no other than Pharell Williams, who is also rumored to be working on a new track together with Swedish House Mafia.
