A pairing that has come to rock the charts with their slick bass-lines, Dutch DJ and producer Nicky Romero and the Israeli Teamworx duo have captured the minds of many with their jaw-dropping productions. Assured to churn out a momentous track when going at it together, this Dutch-Israeli combination has given us infectious singles such as ‘Champion Sound‘. Experience says that a taste for such innovative sound and energy doesn’t wither away quickly at all and what better for dance music aficionados to have the opportunity to enjoy yet another collaboration from these two acts. Released as ‘Deep Dark Jungle’, this highly awaited Protocol Recordings release from Nicky Romero and Teamworx might just be the ‘drop’ that everyone had been craving.
Timid at the start, ‘Deep Dark Jungle’ retains its best for the latter half of the track – even as swathes of bass-lines washed-away the track towards the break. While Psy-Trance themed beat-work makes its presence felt, the production on the track is not far away from being pigeonholed as being progressive or house. Regardless of the name for it, what shines through is the absolute force of nature that the production carries within. The break features a unique melody that swirls endlessly around carefully crafted vocal chops, only to see a thunderous drop delivered in a style that has become all too familiar for fans of this collaborative unit. Yet another solid production from the Protocol Recordings boys, Nicky Romero and Teamworx’ ‘Deep Dark Jungle’ is a mature production that is bound to run the show at mainstages this summer.
