American producer Tommy Leas, better known as PLS&TY has presented his newest track called ‘Motives’. The song, which is out now, is backed by Dutch producer GANZ and contains vocals from superstar vocalist Nevve.

The Miami-based artist’s new track is his second production of the year after dropping Rusko’s astonishing remix of his ‘Rebel Love’ last month. This time, ‘Motives’ is presented with chilled-out, groovy and molten basslines along with incredible emotive vocals by the talented Nevve, who previously worked with artists including Illenium. While adding a dash of vulnerability for good measure ‘Motives’ is the kind of song that awakes all sorts of feelings. Asked about the song message, this is what PLS&TY had to say about it:

‘Motives’ is about one partner wanting so desperately to feel love, no matter how hard the fall or heartbreak, in spite of the other partner’s lack of commitment. One person ultimately ends up the ‘friend,’ and the other the ‘fool,’ for developing true feelings amongst the partner’s indifference. Yet, as genuine ‘motives’ always surface, I believe it is better to have loved and lost than to have never loved at all.”

It’s undeniable that the Palm Beach artist is burgeoning into the future bass scene with his unique sound: languid bass, captivating vocals and upbeat melodies to make anybody feel good. After a collection of chart-topping singles including ‘Good Vibes’ and ‘Rebel Love (both #1 on iTunes US Electronic Charts), PLS&TY has also had multiple television successes, such as his remix of Genevieve’s ‘Colors‘ in the ‘Hello Happy’ TV commercial being viewed over 1 billion times, his track ‘Run Wild‘ being featured as the theme song for Canadian reality TV show ‘Occupation Double’, and ‘Good Vibes’ placement in MTV‘s Siesta Key.

PLS&TY has officially proven himself as an artist to watch and has made it clear he has a collection of music ready for our ears in 2019, alongside upcoming festival performances at Electric Forest, Shaky Beats, Summer Camp, Backwoods, Firefly, and more. Keep an eye out for more soon from this exciting up-and-comer.
