These days, Gabriel & Dresden are best known for their hits on labels such as Above & Beyond‘s Anjunabeats imprint. But back on this day in 2004, the duo were working under their other alias ‘Motorcycle’. Unleashing their prog-trance anthem ‘As The Rush Comes’ on esteemed UK label Positiva Records, the track became an immediate success and hit the number #1 spot on Billboard‘s Hot Dance Airplay chart.

Also peaking at number #11 in the UK and securing a spot in the top 10 across several other European countries, the track is considered a modern classic and is still supported by many famous DJs to this day. Though it’s tough to believe that 15 years have passed since the original, it is perhaps even more unbelievable to think that iconic label Positiva Records are now turning 26 years old this year!
