Fire breaks out near mainstage at Ultra Miami 2019
Not only have thousands of people been left without transport home, but a fire also broke out at this year’s Ultra Music Festival. It’s currently unknown as to why the fire started, but reports on social media from attendees showed that the fire was considerably big, and it was close to the main stage. We can only speculate that the fire could have been caused by the fireworks at the main stage, as you would get at any major festival. However, according to eyewitness accounts, it was caused by a security guard’s cigarette.
A lot of attendees expressed their feelings towards the fire and shuttle buses via social media.

Ultra Music Festival are yet to write a statement addressing the fire, but as things stand currently – there hasn’t been any further reports of the fire, nor has anyone been injured. Ultra Miami has just moved from its original home in Bayfront Park to Virginia Key for this year’s edition, and the festival appears to be experiencing a huge number of setbacks already.
Stay tuned as the story develops.
