An artist steeped in glory as one of the world’s most sought-after performers, Armin van Buuren always commands a great deal of respect in his every venture. A regular performer at many of the world’s most well-established festivals, the Dutch maestro always has a stacked calendar throughout the year. His latest solo show saw him head to the United Kingdom where he performed at London’s SSE Arena, a venue with a glittering history as a hotspot for high-profile shows. In fact, he performed a mammoth 5-hour set, delighting all of those in attendance.

Kicking off proceedings with brand new Shapov collaboration ‘La Resistance De L’Amour‘, approval immediately echoed around the huge venue. Armin wasted no time, quickly elevating the tempo and delving deep into his vast discography. Early in the set he performed his huge Above & Beyond collaboration ‘Show Me Love‘, which has already clearly become a fan favourite worldwide. Continuing his set, he covered many of his own most esteemed releases as well as many of the biggest anthems in the trance genre, with tracks from Markus Schulz, Will Atkinson and KhoMha.

With such a vast time slot, Armin van Buuren was able to cover the broad spectrum of the trance genre, delving into melodic releases, but also delivering hard-hitting anthems. He took the audience on a journey that will last in the memories of those in attendance, and proved exactly why he continues to be such a dominant force within the industry. One thing is undoubtedly clear, his support within the UK is deeply rooted, and will remain that way for years to come.
