Avicii mural unveiled at Ultra Music Festival
About a year ago, the dance music world lost one of the greatest artists to ever hit the stage and bless us with his timeless music. The music of Avicii gave us the feeling of being able to stop time and enjoy the world around us every time his songs played. He was a man who gave us this nostalgic feeling of being in a different world or universe every time he would perform his songs live during any music festival.
April 20th will mark the one year anniversary of Avicii’s untimely death. A day that will forever be etched in our minds on how a beautiful soul left us too soon. His death has left a void in the music world and we’ve all felt it. During Ultra Music Festival, the social media networks were blowing up with pictures of a black and white mural that was in the works, which started taking form of a familiar face that we were always happy to see. The mural which was painted by Korean-based graffiti artist Royyal Dog, started taking the form of our beloved DJ, Avicii.
The mural depicts a smiling Tim with his backwards baseball cap signature look with a white lotus next to him, a lotus that was shown in his famous ‘Levels‘ music video. The mural surely touched everyone’s hearts at the music festival as it did for those who saw it on social media. The mural really shows the Avicii we all remembered, happy and smiling. The one thing we all hope is to keep seeing this mural at upcoming Ultra festivals for the years to come because it surely is a beautiful sight to look at and remember the good times we all shared with Tim and made because of him.
