Diplo turns to new country project ‘Thomas Wesley’

Diplo has unveiled his intentions to work on a new country project named Thomas Wesley after releasing a unique new track ‘So Long’. Prior to his Stagecoach Festival set this weekend, the 40-year old has released a unique and dazzling new single featuring American country music singer and songwriter, Cam. The Nashville musician is no stranger to the mainstream, famed for composing material for other artists, with Miley Cyrus and Sam Smith among them.

‘So Long’ will be the first in a long line of intriguing collaborations in the Thomas Wesley project, which takes its name from Diplo’s birth name Thomas Wesley Pentz. He is also no stranger to collaborations, having worked with Skrillex on the Jack U project and Labyrinth and Emeli Sande as part of LSD.

This weekend Diplo will be playing Stagecoach’s first ever Late-Night (Sunday, April 28th) and may tease more music from the innovative project. What’s better is that Cam will also feature at the festival on the mainstage (Saturday, April 27th), so there is every possibility that they will appear on stage together during the festival.
