World #1 DJ Martin Garrix never fails to find new ways to keep his fans thoroughly entertained. The 22-year-old, who is fixtured to play at Secret Solstice Festival in Iceland, this June, is set to take things to the next level, as the Dutchman prepares to play a set in a glacier! Although, event-goers will need to rug up, as temperatures inside the glacier can vary between -17°C to 0°C (0°F-32°F).

Diving 80 feet below the ground, Martin Garrix will perform a set, as well as Marc Kinchen, in Iceland’s second-largest glacier; Langjökul. With Garrix performing on June 21st, and Kinchen on the 23rd, each show will be limited to a mere 100 tickets, ensuring a small, intimate experience for fans.

While the show’s concept is unique in its own right, new and original ideas for shows are starting to become more commonplace. With new concepts taking place at venues such as prisons and presidential palaces, fans are now becoming more inclined to attend such events, as opposed to regular club shows.

In addition to Garrix, the 3-day crossover festival’s lineup includes the likes of MK, The Black Eyed Peas and Rita Ora. For more information, check out the Secret Solstice website here.
