Home Uncategorized Martin Garrix & Dimitri Vegas & Like Mike’s ‘Tremor’ turns 5 years old

Rewind 5 years for a moment. Big Room is at its peak. Tracks such as David Guetta’s ‘Bad’ and ‘Shot Me Down’ were dominating the Beatport charts, The Chainsmokers released ‘#Selfie’, and Martin Garrix was merely 17 years old. However, the then-17-year-old would go on to team up with Tomorrowland residents Dimitri Vegas & Like Mike, to create the biggest festival anthem of the year –‘Tremor’.

Having debuted at number 30 on the UK Singles Chart, ‘Tremor’ would go on to become the official anthem of Sensation 2014, as well as charting in 7 other countries. On top of this, the track debuted at #5 on The Beatport Electro House chart on 22 April, before reaching the #1 spot, just 2 days later, where it would remain for a further 2 weeks.

To this day, ‘Tremor’ still makes its way into countless mainstage sets. As thousands of festival-goers simultaneously chant the drop’s main melody, fans quickly remember the track’s impact on the EDM world, upon its release, many years before. While the Martin Garrix Big Room days are well & truly gone, ‘Tremor’ still makes an occasional appearance in Martin’s sets, whereas, Dimitri Vegas & Like Mike continue to pump out the anthem at their electrifying closing-sets at Tomorrowland.
