Cast your mind back to spring 2012 and EDM was truly booming in a way never seen before. With the likes of Swedish House Mafia dropping ‘Greyhound’, Alesso and Sebastian Ingrosso teaming up on ‘Calling’ and deadmau5 unveiling his melodic masterpiece ‘The Veldt’, one of the year’s biggest hits came in the form of an unexpected surprise from Porter Robinson.

Previously a name not heard by many, young Porter was thrust into the spotlight when his April 2012 classic ‘Language’ thrust him into super-stardom thanks to one of the genre’s biggest anthems of all time. Laced with a brilliant hook and mainstage ready drop, the track was soon played by all the biggest DJs in the world across several festivals including Tomorrowland and Creamfields.

Since then, Porter Robinson has gone on to form his own alias in the shape of Virtual Self, with the project nominated for a Grammy last year thanks to the neo-trance banger Ghost Voices’. You can check ‘Language’ out below!
