24-year-old Sebastian Park may be a relative newcomer to the scene, but in just a few short years he’s made quite a mark with his knack for creating instantly catchy anthems that have caught the attention of plenty in the EDM scene. His latest track Future Funk sees him return to Chuckie’s Dirty Dutch imprint for what promises to be a massive tune in the coming months, for a variety of different reasons.
Firstly, as the days get longer and the weather gets warmer, it’s a sure sign the summer is well and truly on the way. The season is kicking off with Miami and Ultra already ticked off for 2019, Ibiza getting ready to kick into top gear, and a multitude of festivals all just around the corner. All these environments should see Future Funk fit in nicely, indeed it features on Dirty Dutch’s Miami 2019 compilation, and with some massive drops and all-guns-blazing lead riffs, it should go down a storm on festival main stages and club environments alike. Yet another clever aspect of Park’s production style is he knows how to blur lines. The brunt of Future Funk may well be balls-out EDM smashing into future house, but as the title suggests, there’s strong elements of house and even nu-disco in there, with a summery vocal and groovy vibe that is simultaneously at odds with the brazen drops, yet also managing to blend very nicely.
