Shadient – Divide

Home Uncategorized Shadient – Divide

Since the debut of British born producer Morgan Hicks‘ alias Shadient in 2015, he has made big waves in the music scene already. With support from massive industry legends such as Porter Robinson – who had donated $3,000 towards a new studio computer so that Shadient could finish his album – and Rezz, it’s clear that he is one name to keep a watchful eye on. Citing some of his influences as Gesaffelstein, Boys Noize and Aphex Twin but feeling “like that palette could be explored in a more musical way”, the darker tones are a driving force in many of his tracks and his latest release – four-track EP “Divide”- is no different.

Following the releases of singles “Medination”, “Numbers Station” and “Abberate”, the track “Cyclone” was the latest single to be unleashed ahead of the Divide EP. Fusing the darker sides of Dub and Drum & Bass together, Shadient has proved that he knows how to make two genres work together seamlessly and has rightfully earned the title of an extremely forward-thinking producer. Having all the best elements of rhythmic vibes and speaker-shattering sounds, each track brings something unique whilst retaining that deep, dark Shadient feel.

Released on NGHTMRE & Slander owned record label Gud Vibrations, this is the earth-shattering Shadient – Divide EP.
