Tiësto is a name that has been dominating the EDM scene for more than 20 years. No stranger to the festival mainstages, the Dutch producer never fails to bring the heat with his high-energy performances that are tailored exclusively for packed out crowds on massive stages, and this years edition of Ultra Miami was no exception. Ultra kicked off the first day of their 21st edition – at their new home of Virginia Key – with a stacked mainstage lineup home to the likes of Marshmello, Alesso, Nicky Romero and Fedde Le Grande to name a few. Among those names, taking the second to last spot of the night, was Tiësto.
Opening his set to the thunderous applause of the excited crowd, the superstar showed everyone that he didn’t come to play by dropping hard-hitting mega track ‘Wow’ which set the tone for the rest of the spectacular set instantly. Dropping in classic Tiësto hits such as ‘Secrets’, ‘Boom’, ‘Chemicals’ and ‘Jackie Chan‘ kept the dedicated and energetic fans happy whilst balancing it out with smash hits from artists such as Fisher, Avicii, The Prodigy and Calvin Harris.
An element of surprise and mystery was also sprinkled into the set in the form of a few new IDs, keeping everyone on their toes and eagerly awaiting new music, hopefully coming soon.
