Home Uncategorized Armin van Buuren and Shapov set to drop 3 track EP ‘Trilogy’

You might not have expected Armin van Buuren and Shapov to have collaborated a couple of years back, but now the pair just can’t stop working together. After their tracks ‘Our Origin‘ and ‘The Last Dancer‘ saw early success, the duo have now revealed their latest release ‘La Résistance De L’amour‘, the final track in an upcoming 3-track EP aptly named ‘Trilogy‘. The EP will feature both prior releases from the duo, plus their new track, that has already received early support after Armin teasing the track in sets at A State Of Trance 900, Ultra Music Festival, and Tomorrowland Winter.

As two of the finest names in electronic music, it really shouldn’t be a surprise that Armin and Shapov teaming up is guaranteed to provide non-stop bangers. Fusing the sounds from Armin’s trance productions with the driving progressive groove that has fronted Shapov’s work, their collaborations are pure gold, and ‘La Résistance De L’amour‘ is no different. The skill it evident, particular as shown in the recent video on Future Music Russia, where Shapov breaks down his influence on ‘The Last Dancer‘. ‘Our Origin‘ completes the trio, with a similar vibe taken from ‘The Last Dancer‘ with a somewhat ‘Opus‘ feel to the break, and a pumping drop that truly went off on Tomorrowland main stage.

The entire EP is a breath of fresh air, with a new sound combining trance and progressive bringing music forward into a new light. Make sure to check out Armin van Buuren and Shapov’s ‘Trilogy‘ EP when it drops on April 12th via Armind, and for now, the video below will give you all the insight you need into the upcoming track ‘La Résistance De L’amour‘.
