EDC Las Vegas once again proved to be a great success! Featuring the world’s biggest names, loads of new ID’s and (not to mention a ‘No Redemption’ revival) 3 days of downright dirty beats, the festival was one to remember for all patrons. Mainstage mainstays such as Armin van Buuren, Tiësto, Don Diablo, W&W and Timmy Trumpet all delivered high-octane sets, while the likes of Charlotte De Witte, System F (Ferry Corsten), ZHU and San Holo all dominated across the other stages!
Recently, 1001Tracklists compiled the top 10 most played tracks at EDC this year. The list speaks volumes about the current trends of the North American market and their sheer demand for Trap & Bass music. Skrillex’s Grammy-nominated ‘Cinema’ remix was released back in 2011, yet finds itself in 6th place in the list below. Not only is it a testament to Sonny’s stellar musical capabilities, but more so, it’s also a clear indicator of Trap, Bass & Dubstep’s lengthy lifespan in this region of the globe, with Asia also quickly latching on to the harder end of the EDM spectrum.
