Just in time for the start of summer, the long-awaited Oliver Heldens and Moguai collaboration ‘Cucumba‘ has arrived. The track features an upbeat mixture of a percussion melody and a strong bassline throughout that keep the listeners dancing from its inception. Oliver Heldens described the track as:

“A nice mix of African sounding instruments with Western classical melodies while blending MOGUAI’s sick production skills and the future house Oliver Heldens style. It’s been incredible to see the crowd reactions so far when I’ve played it live – especially during my set at Ultra.”

Both Oliver and Moguai have a mutual admiration for one another, meeting at the Heldeep Records party at ADE, the two have been exchanging collaboration ideas ever since. While commenting on working with Oliver, Moguai listed the Dutch future house prodigy as one of the two producers he’d compare himself to sound-wise, and also expressed his pleasure in working alongside him:

“The interesting thing is that people often ask me which producers I would compare myself to sound-wise, and although that’s difficult to answer I always say Fatboy Slim and Oliver. I told him this during his Heldeep party at ADE, and I don’t know if this kickstarted the collaboration, but from there we started sending ideas back and forth. I’m really happy with the outcome, it turned out great and it has a sound that I think is a good mixture of both our styles.”

Seasoned German producer Moguai and young Dutch sensation Oliver Heldens certainly did combine both of their production styles for a unique track that will certainly be played at festivals and clubs throughout the summer.
