American DJ and producer Dylan Ragland, better known as Party Favor, just released his highly anticipated album ‘Layers’ and it is a true masterpiece. It features 11 very diverse tracks, from acid bass sound, that can be heard in the opening track ‘Holdin On’, heavy hip-hop elements in ‘Wait A Minute’, featuring A$AP Ferg and Juicy J, groovy EDM sounds in his collaboration with Salvatore Gannaci ‘Wasabi’, to smooth, chilled vibes in ‘Dreams’, featuring KingJet. The album combines great ideas with even better production and delivers so much talent packed in one place, with other amazing artists like GTA, graves, Lil Baby, Rich the Kid, Hex Cougar and more.

The album has a really personal meaning for the artist, which reflects in its artwork. It symbolises the most important places and elements of the artist’s life to date, drawn by the same artist who did all of his tattoos. The Mountains represent his early life in Utah, the iconic Hollywood Sign represents moving to LA to pursue his career and the waves are for his love of the ocean and living close to the beach currently. NYC is the city of his birth, while the 25 tally marks are the age at which is his music career really began to take flight. Lastly, energy symbolises the feeling you get when listening to any of his tracks that are really energetic music.

The young producer has already made quite a big name for himself in the music industry, especially with his collaborations with Diplo, Dillon Francis, Gucci Mane and others. ‘Layers’ beautifully reflect how diverse the genres that Party Favor produces really are, but also how talented he is to combine them in to one album and make them work together so good. With his ongoing tour and new releases, he is proving that there is still a lot that he has to offer and that 2019 is going to be his year!
