PnB Rock – Swervin’ (feat. Diplo)
American DJ and producer Diplo (real name Thomas Wesley) is definitely one of the most hard working, versatile artists in the music business. He is most known for his a-list collaborations with artists like Justin Bieber, MØ, Steve Aoki, Yellow Claw, Dillon Francis and Don Diablo and his highly energetic sets, packed with tracks that make you move, no matter what. After recently releasing his ‘Higher Ground’ EP, where he collaborated with Blond:ish and Kah-Lo on ‘Give Dem’ and Tove Lo on ‘Win Win’, he is back with another collaboration, this time with an American hip-hop singer PnB Rock. Together the artists have created a hip-hop/pop crossover track, called ‘Swervin”, released on the TrapStar Turnt PopStar album.
Diplo, who is working just as hard on his solo career, as well as on his projects Jack Ü, Major Lazer and LSD, always surprises us with his diverse music production and brings listeners something they don’t expect. ‘Swervin” is a nice, easy, hip-hop track, that combines classic piano elements, with a slow, bass, beat and features very fitting PnB Rock’s vocals. It is definitely not an energetic, club hit, that we might expect from the American producer, but is still powerful in its own way with a groovy melody. Judging by Diplo’s previous releases this track is set to be a summer hit, featured in most of the playlists and charts everywhere around the world.
