Even if you’re not a fan of the genre, you can’t have missed the fact that the popular Avengers film franchise came to an end recently, and apparently it’s pretty emotional too. Not least of all because of the score, written by veteran Hollywood composer Alan Silvestri, and containing the usual mix of soaring and dramatic compositional wizardry. Now big room legends W&W have got in on the act, with a remix of the main theme that they’ve been dropping in sets recently.
Of course, remixing epic film scores is rather conducive to big-room trance production, and from what we’ve heard so far this is a bit of a banger. Massive synth builds and a properly pounding drop are the main take-aways from this, and the uplifting and dramatic score is the perfect match for W&W’s style. As a nice little cherry on top, the bleepy lead synth after the drop also has a real taste of their NWYR alias about it.
So when can we get our hands on this monster? Well, probably never unfortunately. Due to the expected issues surrounding getting clearance to sample a big-time Hollywood film score, this is likely to go the same way as the duo’s equally–if not more–epic remix of Played A Live, and remain exclusive to their sets live only. If you want your fill though, you can check out a sample below via W&W’s Instagram page.
